I got stuck trying to read the book While the basic concept and message of the book is OK after the first few chapters of reading I found myself loosing interest and an stuck a little less than half way throguh the book has been sitting unread for some time now. The sections are short and you really only need a very short time span to read an additional section but I just can't find any motivation to continue reading this book. Hece my subject line I got stuck reading the book can't seem to find any motivation to finish reading it.
Great experience. It was a pleasure to find this book at such a good price, have it arrive so promptly in exactly the condition promised.
EXCELLENT This product is excellent. Not only did the seller send me a MINT item, it is a superb book, with excellent references, and wonderful way of speaking in a manner which is not intimidating. It is easy to understand, reads very easily, and can be read in a short time. If you'd like a quick introduction to helping yourself through life in a manner which the Buddha himself would have approved this is the book for you. It should help you become unstuck in your issues, becoming happier. Becoming mindful and discovering just what that is, is a key issue in the book...and it might not be what you think if you have never been exposed to it. I must say that reading this book will not make you change your religion. It will only help you become more relaxed, more focused, and, well, happier. Because, contrary to popular belief, Buddhism is NOT a religion. It is a learning experience, and a way of being. A way of seeing, a way of living. Try this book.
Kasl is my inspiration Charlotte Kasl writing has always been is one of the most brilliant around. Practical, straightforward, useful to issues that we all face in life. If you have even half a brain you will find out where you are stuck, get in our in our world, and then do something you've never done before, (hopefully to help others or the environment) and then grow.
not very useful this book describes what it means to be stuck. this is a place in your life when you are unhappy with a situation, but stay in it without making required changes and find excuses for staying in that situation.Intresting topic for sure, but the strategies listed are okay. i didnt find them too useful. Infact I found radical acceptance so much more useful and new. this book recycles most of what you already know, like make space and be open to change. there is too many sub headings and she tries to cram too much information into the book, making it confusing and boring. i personally did not find the book useful and wish I hadn't got it.
