Customer comments on this selection. A Poor Guide Felt more like an instruction manual than a creative guide. Spells out obvious tasks such as "how to hire a writer" without touching upon anything actually worth knowing. Markets itself as a production design manual, but is written assuming the reader is a director (instead of, you know, a production designer). What's this book about again? If you're looking for a production design/art department book, keep looking. Dances but doesn't deliver This book, I found, keeps talking about production design; its importance, relevance (somewhat repeticiously), definition, but never really gets into how to do it. A dissapointment.
