NEVER ACCUSE AND SADEN A TAP DANCER! Annabelle Applegate was setting up the citizens of Fiddler's Creek into realizing 2 things.A:Is was those dangerous rattlesnakes that were responsible for causing Mrs.Ethel Pontoon's chickens to stop laying eggs. And B:Even if a tap dancer winds up causing damages in conclusion, still never hate but only appreciate his or her tap dancing talents, even if it is your own talented, gifted child or children!Personally i was born to like tap dancing along with raw talent!
WITH A TAP-TAP HERE, AND A TAP-TAP THERE
Youngsters will almost "hear the beat of those dancing feet" when they read this improbable but funny story about the most determined-to-dance girl the population of Fiddler's Creek has ever seen. Annabelle Applegate is not only set on dancing but she taps those toes every waking hour of the day.
She danced so much that she wore out the linoleum in her mother's kitchen, and she even danced a hole through the schoolhouse floor. Now, it wouldn't have caused such a furor if the Tap-Dance Fever that had control of Annabelle just affected her but it took its toll on others, too. The ridge she danced in the road caused a tire to blow, and some chickens refuse to lay eggs.
Obviously, this is a crisis. So, an emergency meeting is called to try to figure out how to stop this twinkle-toed young miss. Citizens come up with several ideas - none of which are effective. Why, when they take away her tap shoes, she dances in boots. When they take away her boots, she tapes pennies to the bottoms of her feet.
What to do? That's the surprise for both Annabelle and young readers.
