 Amira's Belly Dance 101
This is a great video for beginners! Amira is very detailed in her instructions and the video is easy to follow. She begins with posture and covers the basic moves a beginner needs to learn. This video prepares a beginner to move up to the next level of belly dancing. The costumes are beautiful and its a pleasure to watch this DVD.

This video is a must have for beginner belly dancers and for the belly dance aficionado! Amira's gentle and thorough approach was truly inviting. I am currently embarking on my first teaching endeavor and I am going to suggest this video to all of my students. Amira's Bellydance 101 is a fantastic DVD for those who are just beginning on their journey into this beautiful art form, and those who wish to brush up on technique!
Excellent instruction, reminders about posture (one of the hardest things to remember when you're just starting) and lots of repetition make this DVD a must have in your instructional library.

I got a referal for this DVD from a friend. It was worth the money I spent on it. Great target areas.
Excellent Starter Video
If this video had been a bit longer with more choreography at the end, I'd have given it five stars. However, you can't beat it for learning technique and posture. I've been belly dancing for a little while now and I still use this one and Precision Work Out by Suzanna Del Vecchio as reference guides. Other, better choreography videos tend to skimp on the technique a bit.
